tea sandwiches

V I N T A G E  D I S H

A proper afternoon tea has at least three courses. All courses comprised of finger foods to be easily eaten in one or two bites. I think my favorite are all those dainty sandwiches for the first course. Each one a little piece of art.

It is the sandwich that defines the afternoon tea - its presentation, filling, size and shape. Featured fillings such as cream cheese and watercress or nuts, cucumber and butter, chicken, egg  or tuna salad, cheddar cheese and tomato or stilton and pear make the delicate bundles so interesting. Bite size so you can sample each one!
